The blessing of the rings.

Our Koumbaros, exchanged our rings 3 times.

The decorated ceremonial table containing the book, wine, wine glass, and lovely heart shaped box which contains the two crowns, rose petals, and candy covered almonds (koufetas)

The crowning. Here Papa Evagelos blesses ous with the crowns which are joined toegther with a silk ribbon. Again will exhange the crowns on our heads 3 times.

Papa Evagelos takes us both by the hand and leads us around the wedding ceremonial table 3 times.



Our relatives and friends were relentless with the rice and carnations. I shouldn't complain because it could have been worse for me. Traditionaly, the grooms head was the ideal soft target for guest throwing hard shelled koufeta candy (remember...hard candy shelled almonds).
